Hello Rainer. Thank you for your worry on our well being. The area of San Marcos is the most afected. Is the area that we visited and supported with your help after the huracain years back. There are about 50 people killed in the country and much others with houses destroied. On Guatemala City, and in Alta Verapaz, there were nothing to suffer because of the earthqueake.
I was opereted yesterday on my knee and I was coming out of the anesthesia when the quake was felt strongly. I came out of the hospital yesterday night and I am writting the firs email now. I will be in the house for a week before returning to normal activity.
We had a very good year for the Instituro Rainer. The efforts that Eva and the teachers did with the students diminished notably the rate of defection and  academic failure. We still need the final notes from the final exam in order to give exact figures for the result of this year.
Because with your support we are supporting the kindergarten in Lomas de Sta. Faz. with a good educational and day care program, the office of the Firs Lady approved us a support to open a kindergarten in Zone 3, in our building, to support 50 children of the two slums that you help us to support after tha Tropical Storm and the eruption of the Volcan Pacaya. So we are happy for this too.
Rosi is doing just fine. Resting a little beat from her educational therapy program and the Verapaz school.
